Course Description

Anyone can be affected by a mental health condition at any stage of their life, either themselves, a family member, friend or colleague can be affected. Mental health conditions are often more difficult to spot than physical health conditions because of the “dreadful stigmas” attached to them and the ways in which they can be masked by the individual.  Many people affected by mental health conditions are not comfortable talking about them, they are aware of the issues they have but very often see no way out of the situation they find themselves in or worse don’t know where or how to seek help.  Friends, family members and peers often feel helpless and ill equipped to deal with a colleague or loved one with a mental health condition. However, it doesn’t have to be like that!!

With careful understanding, appropriate intervention, help, guidance and signposting these individuals can get better in themselves.

The First Aid for Mental Health courses we provide at First Safety Training (Cambridge) are all industry recognised courses, delivered by individuals that have had experience in this medical field. Our courses are all certified by our sponsoring body (NUCO) who ensure that we, as a training provider, are teaching the very latest protocols and disseminating the most up to date information to our clients and candidates.
