The First Aid at Work (FAW) refresher or requalification course is an easy way for organisations and companies to ensure that their qualified staff remain current without attending a full 3 day First Aid at Work training package. The first aid refresher course ensures organisations continue to meet the requirements of the relevant legislation and makes the process of retaining your first aid at work cover and qualification more cost effective for your business.
Out first aid refresher course is designed to allow those already qualified in first aid at work to refresh and update their skills and knowledge by covering all aspects of both the primary and secondary survey of the casualty. We recommend that candidates attend the first aid refresher course within two weeks of their current certificate expiring.
Choosing a first aid refresher course will ensures that candidates are brought up to speed with the very latest changes in first aid. It will highlight the reasoning behind any first aid training protocol changes and allow the candidate the ability to practice those changes within their first aid refresher periods. Candidates will cover the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations and the management, communication and care of a casualty (including contact with emergency services). As well as completing those subjects covered in the syllabus for the one day Emergency First Aid at Work training course the candidate will receive first aid refresher training in the following:

The first aid refresher training & Requalification course is a 2 day course lasting approximately 7 hours per day (depending on group size) starting at 08:30 am and finishing at 4:30 pm.
Candidates will receive continuous practical assessment throughout the training day and will be required to sit and pass a multi-choice question paper to gain the re-qualification. A basic level of both spoken and written English will be required.
On successful completion of the first aid refresher training and assessment, candidates will receive an industry recognised First Aid at Work Certificate which is valid for three years.
Refreshments and lunch are provided on this course and are included in the course fee.
